Dewilde Encounter
SEPTEMBER 10, 1954>>QUAROUBLE, FRANCE

In the village of Quarouble, France, near the Belgian border a UFO was sighted floating over a railroad track. The sighting was investigated by Marius Dewilde, a local resident. He was two small humaniod beings just over four feet tall and wearing what looked like diving suits. The two aliens projected a light beam on Dewilde which paralyzed him. When he had recovered the aliens had returned to their craft and departed.

The encounter was investigated by the local police and the French defense ministry. The physical evidence of the encounter was of particular intrest. The UFO had left crushed railroad tracks and burnt rocks. The results of a study of the evidence were never made public. Complaints were made by the police that the defense ministry was keeping the evidence from the police. Dewilde had a second encounter several weeks later and chose to remain silent about it.
