Freedom of Information Act

To some the Freedom of Information Act is the best thing in the world. They believe that by just filling out a few forms they will recieve proof of extraterrestrial life in the mail from the federal government. This is navie. Why would the federal government spend over 50 years covering up and concealing this only to reveal it because someone asked for the right document. There is even the possiblity that the documents that are recieved are false and meant to mislead investigators and prevent them from finding the real truth. The existince of the FOIA allows the government to answer demands for information on extraterrestrial life with the response that it can be accessed. When no proof is found it can say that they never had any while they simply prevent it from being released.
